What a stellar day. Left Virginia Beach about eleven and headed to Onancock. Beautiful day. When we left it was a little nippy but later in the day the weather was fine. I picked Market Street Grill based on their menu. Pat enjoys food other than what I call American. I'm satisfied with fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and collards. Yes, when it comes to food, I'm easily pleased. I just it to be served hot and well done. What can I say?
Amazingly, their menu at the restaurant has a bunch more choices. Amazing menu. The service was great as was the food. When the owner learned we'd driven up from Virginia Beach, he gave us a plate of fried mozzarella cheese. Thanks again.
The town looks really nice and no-telling how many huge older homes there are. Looks like a nice place to live.
Day's Summary: Drove about 150 miles, nice weather, great food and service at the Market Street Grill. And, yes, plan to go back to the MSG. A nice town to wander around.
The owner gave us these fried cheese sticks. BTW, the coffee's the best I've had in years! |
Pat's wrap. Sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, and...well, lots of vegetables and stuff. She said it was great. And, yes, it was huge. |
A nicely decorated restaurant. |
